Schaumburg, Illinois was utterly delighted when I felt that I needed to get away from my busy life for a while, as we all feel that way sometimes. Therefore, I highly recommend that you also consider visiting Schaumburg when you sense that you need a change of pace.

Spring Valley Nature Center and Heritage Farm

I started my time in Schaumburg, Illinois, by visiting the Spring Valley Nature Center and Heritage Farm. Truly, this is an utterly amazing spot within the region of Schaumburg, Illinois. It was fun to take my niece and nephew with me for the day to Schaumburg, and they enjoyed the nature trails. I immensely enjoyed the nature trails as well. This place is beautiful and unique. It was exciting to explore the various ecosystems present there, such as the wetlands, the forest, and the prairies. The wildlife is plentiful and delightful, such as birds, raccoons, deer, and even some interesting frogs. We were quiet as we did some bird watching. We also took some stunning pictures. I really do love photography, so I always have to take lots of pictures of beautiful scenery. The nature center provided some good educational insights, and it also had some fun activities that the children enjoyed. In addition, we were pleased to be able to explore the farm, which is kept in a welcoming and clean condition. The goats and rabbits were so charming.

Medieval Time Dinner Theater.

We had the good fortune of being able to catch an early show at the Medieval Time Dinner Theater. We enjoyed a great performance there for sure. The children were delighted with the show, as the horses were decorated beautifully and did thrilling tricks. The performers were also dressed in gorgeous medieval costumes. The animals in the show were treated kindly and with respect. This is indeed important to us, as we are real animal lovers with many pets of our own. During the show, we enjoyed a wholesome turkey dinner that was served with mounds of mashed potatoes with the most delicious gravy. The plentiful green beans were smothered in a tantalizing cream sauce. The turkey was hot and moist. The dressing had the right savory balance, and the cranberry sauce was nicely sweet. Finally, the large piece of cherry pie finished the meal off with divine perfection. We enjoyed some shops that were on site at the Medieval Dinner Theater. The children got some postcards, candy, and souvenirs to remember their trip.

Woodfield Mall We finished our time leisurely in Schaumburg at the Woodfield Mall. I like going to different malls in the various cities that I visit. This mall is fabulous, with three hundred stores and restaurants combined. There was never a dull moment. There are benches throughout the mall to sit on, so the children and I would take some breaks to sit, chat and enjoy some treats. I think we overindulged in the treats, such as exquisite French chocolate from an upscale chocolate shop, cotton candy, and caramel popcorn. I bought my niece and nephew some new clothes and toys, and I got myself a new watch. The mall is clean, spacious, and pleasant.
