Service Information

Research has shown that low testosterone can cause pain, fatigue, depression, decreased libido, and decreased bone density. Exogenous testosterone injections work to replace and bring a person’s testosterone to a good therapeutic level, treating their symptoms. It has even been shown to help some patients decrease or come off pain medications entirely.

How Often Should Someone Get an Injection?

This will be determined between you and your provider based on your symptoms and condition.

Generally, injections are weekly or every two weeks.

Are There Risks/Side Effects?

Testosterone injections are generally safe, but all medications do have some level of risk and potential for side effects, all of which would be discussed at your initial consultation.

Blood work is done at your initial visit to determine if you are at an increased risk for risks/side effects before initiating any therapy. You will also have regular visits with your provider to make sure everything is done in a safe and effective manner.

Does Insurance Cover It? / What Are The Costs?

Generally, insurance does not cover testosterone therapy.

  • Initial consultation with blood work – $125
  • Pure Testosterone injection per week – $98
  • Testosterone with HCG injection per week – $198
