I had not been to the zoo for a while, so I thought it would be nice to head to Cosley Zoo in Carol Stream, Illinois. This was the perfect time to take my niece and nephew there as they stayed with me for the weekend. The kids were so excited as soon as we pulled into the zoo parking lot in Carol Stream Illinois. The zoo really was a cute place, which the kids and I enjoyed so much. It was so amazing to be able to feed the ducks as well. I am glad that the kids had a wonderful time. They enjoyed the monkeys too, as the monkeys were hilarious with their antics.
The kids were hyper and were so full of bouncy energy, so I thought it would be a great idea if they burned off their extra energy at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park. This was a great indoor space for the kids who were so active. They found that the trampolines were fun and that the kids were friendly to them. The kids sure were making huge jumps. I just watched, but I was amused by their energy, kiddish glee, and their good time of having fun. They seemed to bounce on those trampolines endlessly. There was a little shop on site where they sell trinkets as well as toys. So I let the kids each pick out some small trinkets to take with them, and they got a board game to share. They made me promise that I would play the board game with them once we got back to my place.
I told the kids that since I had patiently watched them jump on trampolines for an hour and a half, they would have to be patient with me for half an hour at Home Depot. I do not go out to Home Depot much anywhere, as I usually do not need much from Home Depot. But I noticed that the chandelier in my mom’s dining room was looking pretty shabby. It had hung there for forty years. It was definitely time for her to have a change. So I got her a burnished nickel chandelier that had five lights with glass shades that were clear. It was fancy and modern looking. I think she will like it.
The kids said that they were hungry, and I was hungry too. They know that I will always cave in when they want food and treats. So we headed over to Culver’s, where the food is truly delicious. The service was prompt. That was good, as my stomach was rumbling. The kids enjoyed the fat juicy burgers. I was in the mood for a hot turkey sandwich with gravy. We all had fries and coleslaw, along with lemonade. Then we indulged in huge ice cream sundaes with lots of caramel sauce and toppings. The kids liked the cherries that were added to the top of the sundaes in generous supply. We also bought some brownies and pretzels to take back home as treats for later that evening while we would play the new board game.
